A Warm Welcome for Same-Sex Couples

It is a beautiful thing when two people commit to walking through life together, supporting one another in a bond of love, faithfulness, and mutual care. We believe that committed same-sex relationships are a wonderful reflection of God’s desire for us to live in deep, life-giving community. We celebrate the joy, stability, and grace these partnerships bring—not only to the couples themselves but to our wider society.

Affirming Your Relationship at All Saints

We are delighted to share that the Church of England has officially commended prayers to affirm and celebrate same-sex relationships within our church services. While the national church does not yet permit "standalone" blessing services, we are eager to weave these beautiful prayers of affirmation into our regular Sunday or midweek gatherings. 

What this means for you:

• Affirmation within Worship: We can include specific prayers for your relationship during any of our scheduled services.

• A Culture of Grace: We are a church that affirms all healthy, life-giving relationships. We believe in a liberating Gospel that frees us from shame and fear.

• Inclusion as a Priority: While we value the unity of the wider Church, we place love for our parishioners as our top priority. At All Saints, you are seen, valued, and loved exactly as you are.

How to Take the Next Step

These prayers have been available for use since December 2023, and we would be truly honoured to include them as part of your journey. Whether you have been together for years or are just beginning a new chapter, there is a place for you here.
